Private Fethiye Dalyan Ölüdeniz Tour

Private Fethiye Dalyan Ölüdeniz Tour - 2Departing from the hotel and a journey of about 1 hour by air conditioned bus through spectacular mountain and coastal scenery brings us to the banks of the lake at Dalyan. Here, small covered boats take us down the meandering Dalyan river delta, twisting and turning through thick vegetation which is overlooked by the 4th century BC Lycian Rock Cut Tombs, sculpted hundreds of feet up into the sulphurous mudbaths.
After the lunch at a riverside restaurant, we spend the afternoon on the golden sands of Iztuzu Beach, If you are lucky you may dance with the caretta caretta (the loggerhead turtles) who still breed here.
Evening return back to Fethiye and transfer to the hotel.

If you're into exploring new horizons, long, tranquil nature walks, lazy days spent in the sun by a glorious, turquoise sea, or sports like diving, paragliding, horseback riding, rafting or trekking, this is the place for you. Stroll by the waterfront, explore the shops which are open until late at night, stop for a cup of Turkish coffee or apple tea at one of the numerous coffee shops of PasPatur and enjoy the warm hospitality of the Turkish people.

On a beautiful, warm and sunny winter day, as you sit sipping your tea or coffee in one of the numerous tea gardens on the waterfront of Fethiye, you suddenly realise that if there is a place you can call heaven on earth, this is it! The snow-capped, mist shrouded tops of the Tauros Mountains cuddle and protect the fertile valley where Fethiye sprawls lazily, surrounding the bay it gives its name to. The temperature, normally between 85 - 105 F (30-40 C) during the long, hot summer, rarely falls below 55 F (12 C) in the short, warm and rainy winter. As the water temperature never falls below 60 F (16 C), making swimming possible for 9 months of the year, this makes Fethiye a sportsman's paradise, too.

Due to the prevailing climatic conditions of the region, forests of silver fir, Scotch fir, and Norway spruce cover the place. Olive, laurel, myrtle, acacia, plane and poplar trees are some other types that you can find in this rich flora. The frankincense tree (Liquidamber Orientalis), which is the source of myrrh widely used in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, is among the rare species in the world. This plant, which has remained in existence since before the ice ages, is cultivated only around Fethiye and Koycegiz and in a small district of California. From January onwards, the forests abound with wild cyclamen, violets, crocus, narcissus, and a small, insignificant looking species of orchid (Orchis Anatolis), from the roots of which a rich, aromatic hot drink can be made.
Farming for vegetables and industrial plants such as cotton, sesame, tobacco, and aniseed are the major agricultural income sources. Yearly about 250.000 tons of tomatoes are grown in greenhouses and exported. The potential in bee-keeping and honey production is large. Furthermore, Fethiye is one of the major export ports for the chromium ore which is mined in large quantities in Turkey.
