Departing from the hotel and a journey of about 1 hour by air conditioned bus through spectacular mountain and coastal scenery brings us to the banks of the lake at Dalyan. Here,small covered boats take us down the meandering Dalyan river delta, twisting and turning through thick vegetation which is overlooked by the 4th century BC Lycian Rock Cut Tombs, sculpted hundreds of feet up into the sulphurous mudbaths.
After the lunch at a riverside restaurant, we spend the afternoon on the golden sands of Iztuzu Beach, If you are lucky you may dance with the caretta caretta (the loggerhead turtles) who still breed here.
Evening return back to Fethiye and transfer to the hotel.
This is truly one of our most popular Tours, where you will experience the most spectacular scenery ever . You will travel on an air-conditioned coach. Once we arrive at Dalyan, you will board the boat and cruise along the river meandering through the maze of reed-covered sandbanks, past meadows edged with cypress trees and flowers, and passing the ancient city of Caunos. Photographs are a must as you pass the wonderful Lycian rock Tombs which were home to kings and queens in 400 BC which are carved out of the cliff-face. You will also stop at the famous mud baths, where (if you believe the legend) you will come out looking 10years younger. Whilst travelling along the river the captain of the boat will feed the turtles with crabs giving you an amazing chance to see the Caretta Caretta's up close and personal. Dalyan has the second longest beach in Turkey, where you can relax and achieve a golden tan whilst playing in the Mediterranean waters. If you are lucky, you may get the chance to dance with the Caretta Caretta (loggerhead) turtles, who still breed here.
